Title: Sensory Research Account Manager
Salary: 85-100K + bonus
Location: WI - Racine
Sensory and consumer product research company with Fortune 500 and other blue-chip customers in the food & beverage, personal care, fine fragrance, and home & fabric care industries is looking for an Account Manager to work on-site at their client in Racine WI. The primary role is to guide the descriptive analysis/sensory testing facility, program, and staff and to work with client lead and cross-functional partners to ensure first class planning, execution and analysis. The Account Manager will be the primary point of contact for the client and: improve efficiency, effectiveness and client
satisfaction; provide the highest quality of research and ensure innovative and effective methods are used to design, execute, analyze and interpret research. The company will provide relo assistance and is considering candidates on a Visa. This is an in person role an cannot be done remote. The role is working 18-24 months in Racine then can move to other lcoations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a dedicated onsite team of researchers such as, sensory (descriptive) panel leaders and technicians.
- Work with the client lead and cross-functional partners to manage the sensory program and develop research plans.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure quality and timely delivery of results.
- Work with the company Account Director to grow the offsite consumer research program
- Develop learning research plans with clients
- Stay
current with company offerings and industry trends
- Act as a subject matter expert, consultant and advisor on research methodologies
- Be a mentor to developing team members by encouraging curiosity and growth
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5+ years of Consumer Research and Sensory Science project experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Sensory Science, Food Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field.
- 4+ years in project team leadership function/role or management
- Strong experience in Sensory and Consumer Research for Productivity and Innovation
- Experience in a managing sensory programs across various categories
- Expertise in sensory evaluation methodology, particularly Spectrum/Universal Scale Descriptive Analysis Method
- Experience overseeing budgets and expenses
- Ability to understand client needs, and
negotiate costs and services
- Experience developing internal processes and filing systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong experience effectively collaborating across levels and functions
- Proven success multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of ownership, accountability, and professional commitment
