Position: RA2200 Title: VP Senior Market Research Analyst Salary: 100-150K Location: CA - Los Angeles (Remote) Entertainment research company is seeking an experienced analyst and strategic consultant to join their Movie Group. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with a wide range of market research techniques (both quantitative and
qualitative) including the design and execution of studies across the life-cycle of entertainment properties, as well as demonstrated expertise delivering insightful and actionable reports to creative, marketing and distribution executives. Remote work arrangements will be considered, ideal candidate will be based in or near Los Angeles area, and be available to work from company offices in Valley Village as well as attend meetings, presentations and research events around the greater Los Angeles area. Candidates that are in NY area will be considered if they look ideal.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of brand, positioning and messaging studies
- Design, analysis and reporting,
- Delivery of client-ready narratives with clear strategic direction using primary and secondary data
- Execute and provide leadership to a team in the design of questionnaires, programming instructions, data
processing specs and data tables, report shells and final client
- Compile and analyze historical comp sets, create and validate codeframes,
- Author summaries of scripts, films or other entertainment content
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of research and analytics experience
- Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to effectively tell a research story
- Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a larger analytical team to deliver polished reports on tight timelines
- Extensive experience presenting research findings in clear, accessible terms that resonate with both creative and marketing executives
- Intimate familiarity with a broad range of market research methodologies and techniques (e.g. monadic testing, segmentation, conjoint, MaxDiff) and ability to quickly assess project goals and recommend most effective
options
- Comfortable working with both large quantitative data sets and qualitative results
- Robust understanding of the movie industry and ongoing fluency in the movies, franchises, producers, studios and streamers impacting current and future entertainment trends
- Fully proficient in PowerPoint design skills, Excel and Word
- BA/BS required. All candidates must demonstrate strong academic or professional background in both market research and/or data analysis as well as film production and/or marketing
