Senior Market Research Analyst

With exciting business and culture transformation underway, PGEs talent management team is looking for a senior-level Market Research Analyst to help develop exceptional market synthesis by determining the best market research techniques while working with PGE internal partners and external vendors. As an integrated team of Leadership, Learning & Market Research professionals, we drive operational excellence by developing engaged, high-performing teams and leaders who power PGEs purpose of advancing society via a clean energy future.

Researches and analyzes market data and develops analytics to inform product design and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Specialization Typically specializes in market research or market synthesis but may lead or perform work on projects that cross multiple areas of specialization.

Market Research and Data Analysis Determines best research techniques and resources and conducts market research from diverse sources; collects and analyzes complex data of market activities, the market environment, future trends and customer needs and profiles; determines what data to include in research; provides technical advice to clients on analytics of customer data to meet their objectives; reviews and improves efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis; consults with clients to support data-driven business decisions.

Market Insights Profiles target programs; provides insights on effectiveness of various programs and determines areas for research to further PGEs understanding and development of market opportunities; assesses market potential for new and existing products and services; consults with clients to provide data and market insights that support the development of new or improved products or services.

Communications and Reporting Prepares and provides comprehensive reports and analysis on market trends and players in a way that will increase understanding and bring the insights of the analysis to life; disseminates market information to appropriate organizations; communicates market insights in a way that drives action.

Internal Collaboration and Interfaces Interfaces with other teams to feed research into product development process for a variety of projects at all levels of complexity; serves as a subject matter expert to clients and others on the team; meets with internal clients and stakeholders to review objectives and priorities and tailor research and analysis services so they achieve their goals.

Research Emerging Technology Maintains knowledge of industry news, market research and emerging technologies; researches and recommends emerging analytics tools, products and techniques proactively in anticipation of future needs.

Vendor Management Determines when vendors are needed to conduct research; establishes success metrics; monitors vendor performance and works with vendors to resolve issues.

Communication Develops relationships and communicates regularly with industry researchers, technology companies and other utilities to inform market insights; develops and implements internal communication strategy.
