Position: RA2170 Title: Associate Research
Director Salary: 80-130K Location: CA - Los Angeles (Remote) Market research Supplier focused on the Film and Television industry is looking for a market researcher to join their department who works across broad entertainment brands, including film studios, video games and streaming. The role will work directly with clients and internal research team members as the primary lead for the firm’s tracking product. Additionally, the role will be a part of some custom research projects to have a holistic understanding of the changing entertainment landscape. This position will partner with studio clients and dig into data to highlight consumer insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing weekly tracking that measures the industry as a whole: from theatrical to premium rentals, to streaming, home entertainment, gaming and more (SVOD, PVOD, EST, etc.)
- Lead relationships with studio clients and
anticipate their needs through intimate familiarity with their business
- Participate in all phases of market research: questionnaire design, link checking, tab specs, data analysis, report populating and writing, presentations, and deep longitudinal data analysis
- Write weekly on-going analysis on trends, insights and consult with clients as needed
- Supervise and lead the execution of operational success to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Ability to synthesize and write analysis based on data from multiple sources into strong narratives
- Advise and partner with developers to build next generation products and dashboards
- Stay in the know about entertainment, pop culture, research, and media trends
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in related field (business, communications, marketing, research, social sciences, etc.) is
required
- An MBA, or Master’s degree in related field is a plus
- 5-9 years of relevant work experience (market research/consumer insights experience required)
- Market research (syndicated and/or custom) experience in entertainment industry is preferred
- Mix of vendor and client-side experience is a bonus
