CA - Los Angeles Market research Supplier focused on the Film and Television industry is looking for a Research Manager. The Research Manager will work closely with the Movie Group (Screenings) to perform all aspects of projects. This includes measuring consumer reaction for upcoming movies and other entertainment-related projects and working with other internal and external partners to help deepen film production and marketing strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with all components of test screenings, custom online research studies, focus groups, exit polls, advertising surveys, etc.
- Identify logic and data errors when auditing questionnaires, online programs, data tabulations, coded open ends, reports, other data layouts, etc.
- Build and maintain positive relationships and communication with internal partners, PT employees and vendors to ensure timely delivery of all requested project materials.
- Assists with the management and implementation of data warehousing functions/norms portal, including logic/data errors when reviewing portal functions; Work with Movie Group team to publish semiannual norms report.
- Supports the management and implementation of the screenings portal, including oversight of internal partners involved in the function; Detect any logic/data errors when reviewing functions; Work with the Movie Group team to help onboard and educate clients with the application.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal
processes to expedite deliverables to internal partners and clients.
- Support and assist members of the Movie Group team as needed; Completes special projects, project tasks, ad hoc analysis, and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or executive team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
- o A passion for movies and TV shows
- o Education & Training: BA/BS with strong academic record and analytical background.
- o Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
- o Experience with business-related software such as Survey Monkey or Qualtrics a plus.
- o Internet-savvy with an ability to problem-solve issues by using online resources.
- o Minimum one year of supplier-side market research experience.
- o Experience with various market research methodologies.
- o Experience managing research projects independently from start to finish including managing tasks, and adhering to timelines/deadlines.
- o Understanding of effective survey design and ability to create questionnaires to meet varying research needs.
- o Experience working with and manipulating large and complex quantitative data sets a
plus.
