DESCRIPTION: Do you love digging through data to tell a story? Do you have a passion for creative problem-solving? As a Consumer Insights Specialist at Guitar Center, you will support and manage research projects that greatly impact the business. The Consumer Insights team at Guitar Center partners with stakeholders across the organization -- Store Operations, eCommerce, Merchandising, and Marketing -- to bring the voice of the customer directly to the ears of decision-makers. Your strong analysis & storytelling will help Guitar Center understand who our customer is and learn how to give them the best experience in our stores & online.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: Manage overall research study process, including managing research vendors, coordinating with internal teams, research execution, and timelines Translate and scope business questions from internal stakeholders into research requests Provide end-to-end support on the quantitative tracker and custom studies by assisting with quality checks, questionnaire development, programming, data collection, and report creation Use primary & secondary research to develop, analyze, and synthesize actionable insights Turn insights into action by effectively communicating findings to various stakeholders and audiences Additional duties as assigned
To Join Our Band, You'll Need The Following Experience Bachelor's degree, preferably in Market Research, Business, Marketing, Economics, Psychology, other social sciences, or similar 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Market Research or Consumer Insights 2+ years of experience in analyzing quantitative research data and delivering quality research insights in a business setting 2+ years of working on research tracking studies, preferably CSAT or VOC research 2+ years of project management experience 2+ years of survey design, programming, and deployment experience Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint Intermediate understanding of Market Research methodologies Must be comfortable working with large datasets and be able to see the story in numbers Must be able to discover anomalies in data, or findings inconsistent with prior trends or expectations
Preferred Qualifications Experience in Retail research Experience with survey platforms such as Alida, Qualtrics, and SurveyMonkey Experience with analytical platforms such as SPSS, Tableau, etc. Experience integrating secondary information into primary research as support points General awareness of advanced analytics and their appropriate application Strong presentation and communication skills Excellent interpersonal qualities and relationship building skills
