Job Summary:

The Consumer Insights Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the Marketing departments product development for its Fabric Care, Home Care and Home Fragrances product categories. The position will report to the Associate Director of Consumer Insights and will support work around three Cs (competitive insights, consumer insights and category insights).


        Gather, analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources to create PPT reports with actionable insights for the 3 Cs listed above.
        Competitive insights monthly reports for new products for all our categories & for promotional offers for Home Fragrance. Competitive analysis will also include deeper-dives to support existing products and our innovation pipeline.
        Consumer insights, for current products and products approved for future launches. Continuous learning about our consumers attitudes & use of our products and brands, both current use and possible uses.
        Category insights, which are related to the above but with goal of thinking about whats next for the future (e.g. how does a shift to more work-from-home days vs in-office impact our categories).
        Ongoing gathering & review of information from key sources (sales data; secondary research; leveraging existing primary research) to glean information relevant to our business for the 3 Cs above.
        Analysis to identify patterns and insights in both quantitative and qualitative data.
        Reporting findings and actionable insights clearly and succinctly. This includes ability to think about the what / so what / now what for different key stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, Operations and others.   PPT will be the primary method of reporting.
        Assist with analyzing IRI syndicated data. Analyze existing data that is in Excel + learn basic datamining in the IRI data interface.
        Help with primary consumer research studies. Extent of responsibilities will depend on level of experience. At minimum review existing research and help identify key things we need to learn about our consumers that would improve future product development &/or marketing.
