Are you an expert in why consumers do the things they do? Why they buy the brands they buy? If you enjoy exploring these mysteries of consumer behavior, we should talk.
We are looking for a candidate to join our small, nimble team in Pittsburgh as an Insight Director. You'll be working closely with Fortune 500 clients, helping solve the riddles of why consumers think and feel the way they do, and translating those insights into action.
Clients typically use our ZMET research and other research to create better positioning and communication, and as inspiration for product innovation. Our clients have included Frito-Lay, P&G, General Mills, Microsoft, Whirlpool, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
People who succeed at OZ exhibit high levels of intellectual curiosity; are empathetic toward colleagues, clients, and consumers; and can think boldly and creatively. For this position, we also are looking for people who have a proven ability to manage client engagements and relationships and who are often seen as a thought leader.
As an insight director, you would:
Work closely with clients to understand research goals and create project designs
Conduct qualitative market research interviews
Perform qualitative and some quantitative research analysis
Offer strategic direction to clients based on research insights
Collaborate to present customer insights to client teams
Founded by Dr. Gerald Zaltman from Harvard Business School and Dr. Jerry Olson from Penn State University, Olson Zaltman is a consumer insights firm that helps clients understand the unconscious mind of the market.
