Market intelligence/Research (US, Canada, Mexico) This role is responsible for the execution of customer/market analysis and research projects valued between $2-3M per year. Leads the triangulation of all market data and distills into objective, easy-to-understand and actionable information for management and executives to make the best business decisions possible. This role also requires an advanced understanding of Volkswagens product portfolio, automotive technologies, vehicle forecasts and customer requirements.
Market Intelligence Lead:
Perform customer-focused market intelligence research through the analysis of survey and database information to support the VWGoA brands in product, customer and market strategies.
Supply market intelligence to support definition of the property catalogue for all new vehicles.
Responsible for identifying common ground across brands and departments in the Group and generating opportunities for improved efficiency in market/business intelligence.
Develop and manage Group Research Business Intelligence Library. Provide and encourage cross-company access to information and impactful stories/analysis to drive business performance.
Conduct competitive market performance analysis and track performance vs. competition including the production of monthly reporting and the management of all available market benchmark studies such as J.D. Power, Maritz, IHS, Autodata, Motor Intelligence, Polk, etc.
Work with US and AG strategic product planning to align VWGoA planning as well as support business leaders in ensuring optimal results are achieved in discussions and negotiations. Support alignment of VW/Audi US brand product strategies and initiatives to AG strategic plans.
Outlining of macroeconomic, sociological, and industry trends and their effect on the automotive market for VWGoA (US/Canada/Mexico)
Manage the setting of total Market sales and conduct monthly analysis and reporting of total market volume including body style and powertrain (e.g. Battery electric vehicles) for NAR (US/Canada/Mexico)
Organize and manage annual Planning Round process for all VW Group brands in NAR
Manage trend research for VWGoA and Mexico and Canada
Tracking cutting-edge autonomous, driver assistance, infotainment, powertrain technology and others automotive-related information while forecasting a timeframe for widespread implementation.
Develop regular communication framework and cadence to socialize key findings, ratings, best practices, and lessons learned through periodic cross-brand and function reviews
Manage research projects and analysis in product research, customer demographic/psychographic research, price, population and growth trend research and aligning feedback to Brand initiatives.
Develop and execute research programs that support brand product strategies, business opportunities to penetrate new markets and activities that increase operational efficiencies, drive profitability or enhance customer satisfaction; evaluate alternatives and concepts for implementation.
Gather, organize and support the integration and usage of Market Intelligence data including market intelligence benchmark data.
Support department head in managing Group Research administration including purchasing, billing, invoice management and budgets.
Auto show and trade fair attendance to experience the latest products and technologies.
