Role Overview:
Designs, manages, and delivers all aspects of superior custom qualitative (and quantitative) research projects.
Supervises and mentors both junior and senior project staff on qualitative initiatives, such as client workshops, for enhancing insights.
Develops moderators and oversees training.
Promotes development of innovative qualitative solutions through participation in the Qualitative Initiative program.
Nurtures and expands existing client relationships, ensuring that clients feel heard, thought about and appreciated.
Actively seeks out opportunities to develop new business.
Participates, as a member of the Senior Management Team, in strategic, company-wide decisions.
Responsible for the achievement of specific sales and profit targets as agreed annually.

Qualitative Research Skills
Proficient in the design of high level custom qualitative studies
Moderates and supervises telephone/in-person in-depth interviews and focus groups at an exceptionally high level of expertise
Develops and oversees development of recruitment screeners, topic guides, all aspects of recruiting/fieldwork and vendor relations
Facilitates internal workshops related to qualitative work for the entire company to elevate insights
Conducts and trains staff in client qualitative workshops so they become part of companys standard practice where appropriate
Trains and ensures that individuals are comfortable conducting immersion workshops at client sites
Analyzes results and prepares insightful and visually compelling qualitative reports/presentations, providing high-level strategic recommendations to clients in person and in deliverables
Supervises and mentors less experienced researchers in the analysis/preparation of qualitative research reports, helping them to develop draft strategic insights

Quantitative Research Skills
Designs, implements, oversees quantitative research studies for existing clients
Analyzes results and prepares insightful and visually compelling quantitative research reports
Supervises and mentors less experienced researchers in the analysis/preparation of quantitative research reports
Develops and oversees development of screeners/questionnaires
Oversees all aspects of field work and manages vendor relations
Client Interaction
Highly proficient in the presentation of research findings in-person
Makes strategic recommendations that address the clients key business questions based on research results
Builds/nurtures and expands existing client relationships
Actively develops new business
Staff Development
Mentors and trains junior/senior staff in various aspects of qualitative research and pharmaceutical industry knowledge
Helps junior staff develop strategic insights in deliverables
Skillful in giving both positive and critical feedback to team members at all levels, and in performance appraisals
Demonstrates a superior knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and a high level of understanding of client research needs at all stages of the drug life cycle (phase 2 through phase 4 clinical trials, pre-launch promotional development, in-line/mature products).
Is an effective role model to junior staff, embodying not only high level technical skill, but also a positive, can-do attitude, an emphasis on team work and collaboration, and a passion for research.
