Vice President
The Market Research Vice President is responsible for developing and/or managing clients within an entire geography, sector or industry. The Vice President applies strategic business development principles to maintain or grow their client base/market share. Vice Presidents generally manage an entire office and are responsible for achieving overall sales or profitability goals.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing a plan to meet short and long term sales and profitability targets
- Identifying and capturing strategic opportunities to drive sales and market share
- Managing employee retention and staffing the sales, research, and project teams at appropriate levels
- Ensuring research quality and achieving high customer satisfaction levels
Requirements:
- 10 to 15 years in a market research sales capacity
- 5 or more years managing the P&L of a group, division or business in the defined industry
- Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Outstanding morale and team-building skills
- Extensive client development experience with a large industry rolodex
- Proven business and negotiation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel
- An advanced degree in business, mathematics, or the sciences—MBA preferred
