Of greatest importance to market research buyers and clients is quality, including quality of the collected data and the quality of the insights you provide.

Take the time to ensure your current methodologies are rock-solid and generate representative data. And to find the "nugget" that will make your client sit up and say "Wow!," try closing the door for 15 minutes. It will make all of the difference to the quality of your analysis.


Insight #3: Innovate for Success
From one of the largest surveys of market research professionals conducted in 2007, it is clear that innovation within the market research function is appreciated and recognized.

So explore and test those ideas you've been considering to acquire greater insights into the marketplace or your client's business issue. And consider new techniques and methodologies to help your company gain a competitive advantage. It may be the key to your next promotion.
