Vice President

The Market Research Vice President is responsible for developing and/or managing clients within an entire geography, sector or industry. The Vice President applies strategic business development principles to maintain or grow their client base/market share. Vice Presidents generally manage an entire office and are responsible for achieving overall sales or profitability goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing a plan to meet short and long term sales and profitability targets
  • Identifying and capturing strategic opportunities to drive sales and market share
  • Managing employee retention and staffing the sales, research, and project teams at appropriate levels
  • Ensuring research quality and achieving high customer satisfaction levels
  • Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years in a market research sales capacity
  • 5 or more years managing the P&L of a group, division or business in the defined industry
  • Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Outstanding morale and team-building skills
  • Extensive client development experience with a large industry rolodex
  • Proven business and negotiation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • An advanced degree in business, mathematics, or the sciences—MBA preferred
